Today’s Reason To Drink

I voted today* because I heard Starbucks was giving away free coffee (if you voted). So I got up early, went to the gym and then to vote. Got into the office ahead of schedule so I could hoof it down Fourth Street to the Seelbach Hotel Starbucks. And guess what … they had a big chalkboard at the register that said: “No free coffee today.” What the hell?! Fuck that. And fuck Starbucks.

So I took my business next door to the locally-owned Java Brewing Co.

*OK, so that’s really not the reason I voted today … but a little reward like free coffee would have been nice, especially since my voting spot didn’t even give me a “I voted today” sticker. What’s this world coming to?

    Hey I got my little bit from the establishment today. I had to vote by the mall in st. matthews so I got coffee on shelbyville rd. FREE! I WAS planning on double dipping and going out again (to the Seelbach) but alas, I heard the news. You saved me a trek.
