Bartenders from Louisville-area restaurants and bars will compete for a big tip tonight, during the Rose Julep Recipe Contest that identifies the creator of Louisville’s best and most unique mint julep.
The 6th annual Rose Julep Recipe Contest, sponsored by Four Roses Bourbon, will be held at Sully’s at Fourth Street Live! tonight, April 22, at 5:30 p.m. The contest will showcase bartenders’ skills in concocting a one-of-a-kind mint julep, using Four Roses Bourbon. A panel of local food and beverage experts will judge the competition based on taste, presentation and creativity.
I had the honor of judging this competition last year and had an absolute blast. Unfortunately I can’t make it tonight, but I’m sure it’s going to be a much bigger, better party.
